OUR BRIEF HISTORY
The Dairy Training Institute (DTI) is a government institution under the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development,the Institute was established in 1963 with support from UNICEF to
provide trained personnel for the dairy industry. It started as a dairy training school and later transformed into an Agricultural Training College in 1983.
DTI currently offers various programs including a Diploma course in Dairy Production and Processing, Craft Certificate course in Dairy Production
and Management, Craft Certificate course in Dairy Technology and Management and Artisan courses in Dairy Plant Management and Dairy Farm Management.
The institute also provides a range of short, modular-based courses along the dairy value chain and other tailor-made courses. Additionally,
DTI offers consultancy services and participates in collaborative research.

Certificate in Dairy Technology and Management (DTM):
This is a shorter, more focused course, often
ideal for people working or seeking careers in
dairy cooperatives or processing plants as dairy
managers, graders, or extension workers.
Diploma in Dairy Production and Processing:
This is a longer, more comprehensive program,
suitable for those seeking careers in milk processing,
quality control, marketing, or as front-line
extension officers along the dairy value chain.
After DTM, you can proceed to do Diploma in Dairy
Processing and Production
These programs offer specialized training in
dairy production and processing, covering topics
like dairy farming, milk processing, and cheese
production.Milk Products & Processing Course:
This course offers comprehensive training on Milk
processing Industry fundamentals, covering technical
and business aspects, including milk processing
machinery, dairy product formulations (like paneer,
ice cream, and ghee), and industry standards.
