THE PRINCIPAL - DTI
The DTI (Dairy Training Institute) was established in 1963 with support from UNICEF to provide trained personnel for the dairy industry. It started as a dairy training school and later transformed into an Agricultural Training College in 1983. Currently, it offers practical training in Dairy Science Technology and Dairy Management in the East African region. The institute is located in Naivasha district, Nakuru county, 100 kilometers from Nairobi. It is managed by the State Department for Livestock under the Ministry of Agriculture Livestock Fisheries and Cooperatives.
The DTI offers a variety of courses, including certificates and diplomas, in dairy production, processing, and management. The DTI also offers courses in animal health and production, dairy technology, and management.
